All this in a package, which should take a lot of inspiration, especially in the field of design, what Samsung offers in the Galaxy S and Galaxy Note ranges.

Well, in 2022, the new ZTE Axon 40 Ultra raises the bar even further, by continuing with a very desirable design (much like Samsung’s S22 Ultra), it continues to bet on luxury specs, at the same time as it is Now also able to hide the front camera under the OLED screen.

So, at first glance, the ZTE Axon 40 Ultra is essentially the Galaxy S22 Ultra, without a hole for the front camera. Obviously not a bad thing, after all, imitation is always the best form of flattery. Also, I personally like the design of Samsung’s Note range, which has now moved to the S22 Ultra.

However, in addition to the disappearance of the “hole” of the front camera, the ZTE Axon 40 Ultra also bets on ultra-thin bezels, which end up giving more importance to the selected curved design, which in turn depends on metal and glass .

However, in terms of performance, it looks like we’ll have access to a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen1, 12GB or 16GB of RAM, and of course 512GB of UFS 3.1 storage. The battery will be 5000 mAh, with 65W fast charging support.

In short, in many ways, in addition to being cheaper, this top of the range from ZTE also promises to be superior to the S22 Ultra in many ways. At the end of the day, we have Qualcomm’s high-end SoC instead of the Exynos 2200, we have a glass and metal build, while Samsung chooses plastic to mimic the glass in its devices, and perhaps most importantly, we have 12 or 16 GB of RAM, as well as a 65W charger included in the can.

Price and availability

The device will be launched first in China, on May 9th. But it should be launched soon in Europe. As for the price, the ZTE Axon 30 Ultra will cost about 700 euros in 2021. Therefore, the new model should not deviate much from these values.
