Game Freak has revealed more details about the origins of Hisuian Zorua and Hisuian Zoroark, new forms of Zorua and Zoroark mini monsters that will be introduced in Pokemon Legends: Arceus.
Regionals were first shown in a mysterious video posted last week. The images show an explorer being ambushed and attacked by a new Pokémon, who holds a grudge against all of humanity.
As revealed by The Pokémon Company, the newly discovered Hisuyan Zoroa is a creature that migrated to the Hisui region after being expelled by humans from other lands. Unable to survive in the hostile environment of the new home, Zoro is a zombie and reborn as a persistent ghost type and normal spirit. Hisoyan Zoro’s power fuels hatred toward humans and other Pokemon.

If Hisuian Zorua detects a lone person or Pokemon, it can appear in front of them in disguise that mimics the target’s appearance. In contrast to Zorua’s previously discovered figure illusions, this ghostly imitation is created using the power of malevolence, radiated through the long hair of Zorua’s head around Hisui’s neck and also her tail.
Hisuian Zorua can evolve into Hisuian Zoroark, who also uses grudges to fuel his abilities. This Pokemon displays terrifying illusions that can drive enemies crazy. Hisoyan Zorwark is fiercely hostile and aggressive towards people and other Pokemon, but he seems to have some sympathy for those he considers close or family.
Both creatures can be found in Pokemon Legends: Arceus. The game will be released to Nintendo Switch January 28, 2022. Those who pre-purchase it will receive a Hisuian Zoroark-inspired cosmetics piece, as well as a Hisuian Growlithe-inspired kimono set.
