Xiaomi MIUI 13: more security, optimum performance and unexpected news

Behold, Xiaomi has finally revealed the long-awaited MIUI 13 completely redesigned with new UI elements and features.

New in security and privacy, a version for tablets and even a platform that allows for a multi-device system. Xiaomi took time to introduce MIUI 13, but the wait seems to have been worth it, at least for Chinese users.

Xiaomi has just revealed the completely redesigned MIUI 13 interface and brings with it wigdets, new themes and even a new font. Then it was confirmed that the Chinese brand is replacing the current Mi Lan Pro VF with the Mi Sans line. Since this font is more compact, it allows for more items to be displayed on the screen and we assume that’s why the brand made the change.

On the other hand, Xiaomi’s partnership with Beauty of Science has also resulted in new exclusive wallpapers now available. An Android 12 texture is also available, which allows the user to choose a color that extends to widgets, icons, menu, etc.

According to the Chinese brand, MIUI 13 brings more efficiency in autonomy management, as it has improved intelligent optimization to reduce unused apps.

The Chinese manufacturer also ensures that it has analyzed and fixed errors, optimizing the system in fluidity, while the applications are running. Thus, MIUI 13 offers high performance in the long run. Users will tell about its fairness in the future.

More security and privacy with MIUI 13

The new Xiaomi interface also promises more security compared to its predecessor, especially in terms of facial recognition which now has a more advanced method for retrieving information from identity documents and credit cards.

Also in the field of security, Xiaomi has strengthened the anti-fraud measures already included in MIUI 12.5 to prevent spam received through calls and SMS.

MIUI 13 Pad: the interface designed specifically for tablets

The Chinese manufacturer also revealed the release of MIUI 13 for tablets that now allows the use of floating windows, in a very similar way to what we use in a desktop environment.

And speaking of similarities, the MIUI 13 Pad has a very similar design to the Apple iPad, from the logo on the app icons to the bar at the bottom of the screen.

MIUI 13 Pad also has the same security and performance optimization features already described here for the smartphone version, plus more tools are available for the tablet stylus to capture screen and crop photos.

MIUI 13 with multi-device system

The brand ended this part of the presentation, revealing its ambitious plans for MIUI 13 to have its own version for other equipment. So, it looks like the Chinese brand will also offer MIUI 13 Home, MIUI 13 Watch and MIUI 13 TV.

Everything makes the connection between the most diverse equipment fast, smooth and extremely easy to use. However, this last part in the near future will only benefit Chinese users.
