Xiaomi has (finally) announced its new range of high-end smartphones, which forgot the “old” ‘Mi’ label, will now be known only as Xiaomi 12 and Xiaomi 12 Pro. (We also have another less “premium” version, in the form of the Xiaomi 12x).
But let’s go with the parts!
Xiaomi 12 and 12 Pro announced! Ready to take control!?
Therefore, the new flagship Xiaomi 12 Pro has a 6.7-inch OLED display capable of reaching a resolution of QHD and, of course, 120 Hz. This smartphone is obviously based on Qualcomm’s new high-end processor, Snapdragon 8 Gen1.
To complete the package, we also have 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage, that is, in the base model. The battery will be 4600 mAh, with the fast charging capacity we already had the chance to see on the Xiaomi 11T Pro, at 120W. (By the way, wireless charging will be around 50W, which is also an amazing number).
However, the Xiaomi 12 ‘Normal’ has a 6.28-inch FHD display that is also capable of reaching 120Hz. Like its brother Pro, this screen will have a maximum brightness of 1,100 nits and, of course, Gorilla Glass Victus for maximum protection. For the rest of the specs, we have a very similar 4,500mAh battery, but the maximum cable charging is 67W (wireless charging stays at 50W).
Finally, the Xiaomi 12x SoC replaces the Snapdragon 8 Gen1 with the weaker Snapdragon 870 but still very qualified. It also says goodbye to Dolby Vision, and Qi wireless charging. However, from an aesthetic point of view, it does not differ from the rest of the group.
The entire new range of smartphones will hit the market with Android 11, but the update to MIUI 13 (Android 12) is already promised in January.
Besides, what do you think of all this? interested? Samsung and Oppo beware, Xiaomi is no joke!
