A 41-year-old woman killed her boyfriend after he attacked and threatened her during an argument in Guaraja, on the coast of São Paulo, in Brazil. It all happened in the early hours of Monday, when the killer was having a barbecue at home and got into a conflict with her partner over a scene of jealousy. The woman says she pierced the victim's chest with a barbecue grill to protect herself from attacks.

According to the portal G1The friend punched the woman in the jaw and chased her with a knife. To stop the attack, she picked up the barbecue grill and pushed it towards the man's chest. After committing the crime, she was transferred to a health center for examination, but there were no injuries or abrasions on her body.

The relationship between the spouses, which began six months ago, was characterized by conflicts. The woman told authorities that her boyfriend had an aggressive habit, and even choked her once.

During the investigation, police discovered that the man was actually charged with attempted murder. On one occasion, he broke into the house and threatened to kill two women, one of whom was pregnant, with a knife.

The case is being investigated as attempted murder of women, murder and self-defense.
