With Joao Felix and Pedro Neto, Jackson shines in Chelsea win

the Chelsea beat West Ham 3-0early Saturday afternoon, with Nicolas Jackson in the spotlight, scoring two goals and providing an assist, in the opening match of the fifth round of the English Premier League.

Without the Portuguese in the starting lineup, Chelsea scored the first goal after four minutes: Nicolas Jackson combined well with Jadon Sancho, ran out to the left and ran into the area to beat goalkeeper Alphonse Areola with a low shot, which went between the keeper's legs.

The Senegalese international's brace came in the 18th minute, after a beautiful team play in midfield, in the central area: Moises Caicedo passed the final pass to Jackson, who isolated himself and shot with the outside of his right foot into the back of the goal.

At the start of the second half, Jackson changed his role and helped Cole Palmer, who made it 3-0 in the 47th minute, with a powerful left-footed shot inside the area.

Pedro Neto and Joao Felix came on in the 57th and 64th minutes respectively, with Jadon Sancho and Cole Palmer replacing them. Renato Veiga was an unused substitute for the visitors.

With this result, the team coached by Enzo Maresca reaches second place with 10 points, equal with Arsenal and Newcastle, each of which has one game less. West Ham, coached by Julen Lopetegui, remains with four points and occupies 14th place, and could drop down the places based on the remaining results in this round.
