Windows Terminal now supports color themes

Terminal do Windows agora suporta temas coloridos

It may not be an update that meets the needs of the average user of windowsbut Microsoft Added color theme support for Windows Terminal.

This customization will allow users to change the appearance of the tabs, window, and background images of the Terminal interface. In addition to adding color themes, Microsoft has modified the windows A station to always use a dark theme.

As mentioned above, this is not an app that will make a difference in the average user’s life – after all, most of those who use Microsoft’s Windows Terminal don’t use it – but rather a plus for those who use an app. Applying these changes is also not one of the simplest processes, but developers who use the feature will not find it difficult.

Attributes are adjustable via JSON file

Themes are editable with a JSON file and appear in the themes dropdown in the Terminal Settings section of windows.

There are some examples of JSON for people to get started with, but users can get creative and create their own set of background colors and images.

Another tweak made by Microsoft is the default colors in Windows Terminal”For a more solid lookAccording to Microsoft Director Kayla Cinnamon. A new text rendering engine has been added below which supports bold text, underline and overlays/hyperlink to Windows Terminal.

“We found our color schemes page wasn’t the most intuitive and could use a design update,” admits Cinnamon. “We have updated the UI Color Schemes page to improve its style and user flow. ”
