Windows 11 adds native support for more compressed file extensions

We start the week with good news for Windows 11 users: Windows OS Microsoft Recently added support for more compressed file extensions. The new feature has been implemented with the update KB5031455 Preview 11 released by the developer last Thursday (26).

Windows has been compatible with compressed (.zip) files for a long time, but even then there were some formats that were not natively supported by the program. The latest update added compatibility with 11 versions allowing users to extract without having to use third party software like WinRAR.

In addition to this new feature, the update changelog released by the company also confirms the implementation of other optimizations and improvements, such as new customization options for OEMs for dynamic lighting, for example, enabling customization of operating system images for new PCs.

Bugs and issues reported by Windows 11 users and identified by the Microsoft team have also been fixed in builds prior to 22621.2506.
