Just a few weeks ago, Samsung made a radical change to its product offerings. Launched alongside a range of new smartwatches — including its first foray into rugged timepieces with the Samsung Galaxy Watch Ultra — the brand entered a new realm.
More specifically, the brand has entered the world of smart rings with immediate effect. Although it is not a new concept, the Korean giant is the first major company in the tech sector to commercialize a device of this type.

Now, just days after its launch, the Galaxy Ring has received a connectivity update that will make it easier for users to connect the device to their mobile phones – and this update is not just targeting Samsung smartphones.
He also stressed Robot PoliceThe Galaxy Ring offers almost all of its features even when used with other Android phones. Android Police analysts tested the ring with the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 and the Motorola Razr 40 Ultra to see what the differences were between the devices.
Surprisingly, there were almost no differences. Although Samsung suggested during the launch event that AI features might struggle on non-original devices, tests conducted revealed that this is not the case at all.
They were able to get both the energy points and wellness tips — two AI features that theoretically shouldn’t work — to work flawlessly. It’s worth noting that the energy points arrived on the first night of the product’s launch, while the health tips took a few days to take effect.
In fact, the only thing that doesn’t match Samsung’s experience with other Android devices is the frequency of device updates. In other words, the test showed that Samsung’s cell phone is updated more frequently, while other devices are often a few hours behind.
While this caveat may be a dealbreaker for some, it's a fair price to pay to be able to use a smart ring with your cell phone.
