Vista Alegre has called a general meeting of shareholders on September 12 in Ilhavo, where it will vote on the appointment of Thiago Craveiro, CR7's strategic advisor, to the Board of Directors, which was announced on the market today.
According to information sent to the Securities Market Commission (CMVM), Thiago Craveiro has been appointed by Visabeira as a member of the Vista Alegre Board of Directors for the current period.
According to the same memo, the elections are based on a recommendation from the Portuguese Institute for Corporate Governance (IPCG), which states that “the number of non-executive directors should be greater than the number of executive directors.”
Since November 2023, Thiago Craveiro has been a strategic advisor to Cristiano Ronaldo’s company – CR7, SA – and since April 2022, to the UEFA President and Executive Board.
Prior to that, he was Executive Director of the Portuguese Football Federation, Secretary General of the Portuguese Professional Football League, Head of the Office of the Secretary of State for Youth (July 2004 – March 2005) and a journalist for Media Capital and Diário de Notícias.
Thiago Craveiro holds a degree in Communication Sciences and a postgraduate degree in Sports Management.
On June 14, Cristiano Ronaldo purchased 10% of the capital of Vista Alegre Atlantis and agreed to acquire 30% of the capital of the Spanish club Vista Alegre.
