A year ago, former tennis player and singer Yannick Nova returned to Cameroon, where he has been caring for residents of the village of Edoudy, which has now become the Yaounde district.
He became the head of his village in the town of Yaounde, where he spent part of his childhood, a former tennis player, 61, talking about his new life in Cameroon this Sunday, May 8 on the September à Hood TF1 show.
Leaving to study sports in his native France at the age of twelve, Yannick Nova maintains a very strong connection with his father’s native Cameroonian roots. The latter and the former tennis player returned to Cameroon in order to realize the dream of his grandparents before him.
Yannick Noah is rare. For more than a year, he returned to live in the village of Noah, in Cameroon, where he grew up, in which he was the leader in the death of his father.

Etoudi is the village of the Noahs. As the political capital of Cameroon became the district of Yaound, it has a population of about ten thousand. Traditionally, Yannik Nova became the head of this village. His activity? “I have all the help I can, there are problems and shortcomings in managing. There is no vitel card,” he adds.
According to the artist, this new character is ready to pay homage to his parents who died a few years ago and for the future of future generations. But tennis is not far off. In Cameroon, he coaches kids in this sport and has already discovered a talent.
A new documentary is coming
On Friday, May 13, Yannick Nova was the guest of Anne-Elisabeth Lemoine on C à vous to release her new documentary on May 20 on Amazon Prime. In “The Meaning of Success”, the artist and athlete look back on his journey from tennis courts to Eto’o.
