“Very individual.” Paris Saint-Germain players are on their way to clash with Mbappe

DrAccording to L’Equipe, many Paris Saint-Germain players believe that Kylian Mbappe has been playing with him a lot lately.

“I’m not very happy with Kylian today [sábado]. I don’t think I have anything to say about the goals he scored, but he could be better in many areas. I have to watch the match again. I will analyze his game and tell him privately. He is one of the best players in the world, but we need more. We want him to do more! It’s just my opinion.” Luis Enrique’s comments, after Kylian Mbappe’s hat-trick against Reims, surprised many on Saturday afternoon.

The French international had scored all three goals for the Parisians and was logically the main person responsible for the victory. So the moment was surprising, but it was consistent with the statements of the player himself, who felt that he could and should perform better during the match. “Humblely, I don’t need to play well to score, but what I want is to play well and score goals,” the Blues star said after the match in Reims.

Luis Enrique is not the only one who has something to say about Kylian Mbappe’s playing style. Daily newspaper L’Equipe revealed a small bombshell on Sunday. In the days following the defeat to AC Milan, some of his teammates discussed the player’s playing style, especially regarding his role and the choices he makes in the final third. Some of them were upset by the fact that KM7, in their opinion, played mainly for himself.

“He’s very individualistic and doesn’t necessarily try to put his teammates in the best conditions to shine. The smaller roles of Gonzalo Ramos and Randall Kolo-Mwani are an example of that. I have to say that, this season, Mbappe seems to be the best.” He gets along better with Ousmane Dembélé and Achraf Hakimi on the pitch, and is still finding it difficult to find his place with some of the new arrivals.”
