Vampire Survivors is GOTY at the BAFTA Awards

God of War Ragnarök collected 6 BAFTA awards, including Game of the Year in the public vote, but the BAFTA award for best game went to Vampire Survivors, an unexpected addictive game that conquers players on Xbox, PC and laptops.

In addition to this prestigious award, Briton Bunkel took home the award for Best Video Game Design, another famous title he will display proudly on her mantel.

In a night where PlayStation won seven awards, the latest God of War installment was a highlight and took home awards for music, animation, sound, and even the categories for best lead and supporting actor.

Elden Ring and Tunic, two of the giants of 2022, each won two awards in two categories.

  • Public Vote Game of the Year – God of War Ragnarök
  • Evolving game – Final Fantasy XIV Online
  • Multiplayer – Ring of Elden
  • Original property – Elden Ring
  • British game – rollerdrome
  • Artistic feat – jacket
  • The first match – Tonk
  • Narration – eternity
  • Technical feat – Horizon Forbidden West
  • Family – Kirby and the Forgotten Land
  • A game beyond entertainment – Endling: Extinction Forever
  • Brotherhood of the BAFTAs – Shuhei Yoshida
