Vaccination campaigns against Covid-19, polio and multiple immunizations continue this Saturday (26) in São Paulo (SP). AMAs (Outpatient Medical Assistance) / UBSs (Basic Health Units) will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., including Pfizer Baby, for groups eligible to receive the immunization.
Since November 17, vaccination against Covid-19 has been available to children aged 6 months to 2 years, 11 months and 29 days with comorbidities, immunosuppressed, permanently disabled and indigenous people. Residents can register their children without comorbidities, in this age group, to receive any remaining doses of vaccination at the reference health units in each household’s residence.
The first and second doses of the Covid-19 vaccine are available for children 3 years of age, adolescents and adults.
For the first extra dose, people over the age of 12 who had the last dose of the vaccination schedule at least four months ago are eligible. The second additional dose of the vaccine is available to all residents over the age of 18 who received their first dose at least four months ago.
The third extra dose is also available for highly immunosuppressed people over the age of 18 who took the second dose at least four months ago.
Polio and multiple immunization campaigns have also been extended indefinitely in the city. Against polio, children between the ages of 1 year and 4 years and 11 months are eligible, and since August 8, 383,997 doses have been administered in this group.
The campaign aims to vaccinate children, using the oral polio vaccine (OPV), children who have the full priority schedule for inactivated polio vaccine (IPV). In the routine vaccination schedule, VIP should be given at 2, 4, and 6 months of age, and OPV at 15 months and 4 years of age.
In the multi-vaccination campaign, targeting the public up to the age of 15, in addition to VIP and VOP, vaccinations are available such as: viral trivalent (measles, mumps and rubella), chicken pox, BCG, pentavalent, Pneumo 10, rotavirus, meningeal C, meningeal ACWY , chickenpox, hepatitis A and B, yellow fever, DTP (diphtheria, tetanus and pertussis), double adult, influenza and HPV.
