Uniube participates for the first time in the National Science and Technology Week: Cerrado fortuneswhich is subject to coordination by the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (MCTI). The event aims to engage the population, especially children and youth, in activities and topics related to science and technology, and to promote creativity, scientific thinking and innovation. The meeting will be held on October 16, 17 and 18 at the Aeroporto campus, under the slogan “Biomes in Brazil: Diversity, Knowledge and Social Technologies”.
“Uniube, along with engineering and IT courses, as an institution that values and drives transformation through science and technology, will hold lectures open to the academic and scientific community and external audiences. Topics such as artificial intelligence in biome conservation and ‘biodiversity monitoring; the importance of biomes; management of water resources in biomes; “Sustainable agriculture in Brazilian biomes: engineering to increase productivity without compromising biodiversity and remote sensing using artificial intelligence: mapping and conserving biomes,” explains the program director of the Electrical, Computer, Control, Automation and Mechanical Engineering courses at Uniube, Leandro Aureliano.
The program includes contributions from courses in civil and electrical engineering, computing and control, automation and production, mechanics and chemistry. Information systems, systems analysis and development, digital games, artificial intelligence and data science. “This event is organized by me, Luis Cesar de Oliveira, Director of the Civil and Chemical Engineering Courses, Luiz Fernando Ribeiro de Paiva, Director of the Systems Analysis and Development Course, and Clayton Silvano Goulart, from the Center for Engineering Practice, Information Technology and Architecture (NUPEIA). “Open to the internal Uniube community and external audiences interested in the topic of biomes.”
