Uberaba Technology Park receives the Vice-Dean of the State of Minas Gerais for Science, Technology and Innovation |  mining triangle

The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation of the State of Minas Gerais, Felipe Ateh, visited the Uberaba Technology Park on Tuesday (28). The director of the park, Paulo Fernando Rocha Ventura, introduced the city’s entire innovation and technology ecosystem, which aims to promote scientific, technological and commercial development in the region.

After visiting the headquarters of the technology park, Philip Atti and the delegation visited the Uberaba Innovation Center, Mosaic Fertilizantes and Alta Genetics do Brasil, in the presence of Chancellor Almir Silva (DEM).

“Uberaba has a mission in the heart of Brazil to be a city that opens up space for production and contributes to the progress of Triângulo Mineiro. Attia noted that high-tech, high-productivity, innovation and science agribusiness is a profession for our region.”

For Roy Ramos, Municipal Secretary for Economic Development, Tourism and Innovation, it was a fruitful visit. According to him, in addition to visiting the Technology Park and Innovation Center, Attia also announced an important decision of Governor Romeo Zima (Novo).

Ramos stated that the state government will launch a resource in the amount of R$700,000 to build the new headquarters of the Association of Horse Riding Therapy in Minas Gerais (AME)., in an area to be donated by City Hall and soon voted by the City Council.

“In this way, it will be possible for us to have the center of coexistence in the technology park. We also ask the state government to help us beat the companies based on new technology, and I am sure that the return will be positive,” the minister said.

The director of the technology park said that this type of meeting allows for the expansion of partnerships and relationships.

“We encourage agents in the innovation ecosystem, in the triple helix: government, business and university/education entity. Felipe Attia’s visit is cause for contentment, as he demonstrated his commitment to our causes, proving that the state looks inward. We really need these,” commented Paulo Fernando Rocha Ventura. The meeting was attended by the Assistant Secretary of State for Economic Development, Tourism and Innovation Cynthia Besa de Sousa. By Analysts in Science, Technology and Innovation Management (Finep), Octavio Chimaru Jr. and Andreli Lima Cardoso; and Researchers in Science, Technology and Innovation Development (Fapemig), Mariles Pereira Lima and Nubia Alves de Carvalho Ferreira.

Accompanying the Under Secretary, Technology Innovation Supervisor, Pedro Embuava Vaz, and Research and Technology Supervisor, Luciana Quaresma Rodrigues.

Members of the Uberaba Technology Park Board of Directors, representing the Federal University of Triangulo Mineiro (UFTM) also participated; Federal Institute of Tringolo Mineiro (IFTM); Agricultural Research Corporation of Minas Gerais (Epamig); The Brazilian Agricultural Research Corporation (EMRABA) and the Minas Gerais State Secretariat for Economic Development (Headquarters).
