New Jersey authorities have yet to renew the liquor licenses of two of Donald Trump's golf clubs.
In May, Donald Trump was convicted of falsifying documents in connection with a “hush money” payment to porn actress Stormy Daniels.
As a result, two of Trump's golf clubs in New Jersey may lose the right to serve alcoholic beverages, Reuters news agency wrote.
New Jersey has a law that prohibits people convicted of crimes involving “moral honor” from obtaining a liquor license.
A spokesman for the New Jersey Attorney General's Office said the rulings raise concerns about whether clubs in Colts Neck and Bedminster should retain their liquor licenses, Reuters reported.
However, a third of the clubs had their license renewed.
According to Reuters, the Trump Organization previously clarified that Trump does not have a license to sell alcoholic beverages. He does not have that either, as the two mentioned documents are registered to his son.
However, the attorney general believes that Trump has a direct connection to these matters through his son.
The licenses were temporarily extended until the case is heard on July 19.
