Tubarao confirms four cases of dengue; Two are indigenous

And the Municipal Health Corporation confirmed at the end of the afternoon on Wednesday (29) cases of dengue fever in the city, two of which are original, that is, they are transmitted within the municipality.

The situation in the state, and in Tubarao is no different, it is getting worse every day, and now the city is included in the list of those who have internal transport.

To date, Tubarao has 53 mosquito outbreaks Aedes aegyptiwhich transmits the disease, 31 in Oficinas, 10 in Vila Esperança, 4 in Morrotes, 3 in Centro, 2 in Dehon, and one case each in Humaitá, São Cristóvão and São João Right Bank.

With regard to dengue fever in particular, attention should be paid to the symptoms, such as high and persistent fever, accompanied by nausea and vomiting, persistent headache, pain in the back of the eyes, red spots spread all over the body, excessive fatigue and pain in the joints. If this is the case, see a doctor immediately.

Also important and basic is the prevention and control of mosquitoes. Therefore, do not leave containers in which water can accumulate in the open such as cans, buckets, plants, pots, tires, open water tanks, and so on. Likewise, keep backyards, patios, gardens, and other places clean. Another effective method is to use repellents during the day – when mosquitoes are most active – they provide some protection from bites and insecticides can also be applied, following the directions on the label. Mosquito nets provide good protection for those who sleep during the day, such as children and those who are bedridden.
