Important swing
Along with Wisconsin and Michigan, Pennsylvania was one of three so-called Rust Belt states that helped Trump win the 2016 election. Joe Biden, who grew up in Scranton, Pennsylvania, won all three states with him in 2020.
Pennsylvania has the largest number of voters of the three swing states, making it an additional priority in the campaign through November. Harris is scheduled to begin a bus tour of Pennsylvania on Sunday ahead of the Democratic National Convention opening in Chicago on Monday.
