This man has hidden €22,000 in pure gold and is going on a treasure hunt. You have 3 weeks to find it – Executive Summary

Programmer and game designer Jason Rohrer has launched an innovative challenge that promises to awaken the spirit of adventure in many people. Titled “Sky Drop Project“This real-life treasure hunt has as its main attraction a 24-carat gold prize worth $25,000 (€22,400).

Rohrer is known for his creations such as: corridor (2007) Backgammon Diamond Fund in LondonThis project was developed in collaboration with Tom Bailey. The goal is simple: take participants on a nature exploration in search of hidden treasure on the East Coast of the USA.

Project Skydrop is described as “a unique real-life treasure hunt unlike any other in modern history.” The challenge, which began recently, involves searching for a piece of 24-karat pure gold, hidden within a circle that initially has a radius of 800 kilometers. As the challenge progresses, the radius of this circle will decrease over the course of three weeks, making it easier to find the treasure and increasing competition among participants.

Rohrer said the project was inspired by adventure movies and aims to provide a unique exploration experience. “We hope to do the biggest treasure hunt ever,” he said.

For the more competitive, Rohrer and his collaborator Tom Bailey have created a subscription service, available for $20, that gives subscribers access to valuable clues. Those who opt in to the service receive daily “secret aerial photos” that will help pinpoint the treasure. Plus, half of the entry fee will be pooled into a cash prize for the winner, which will be paid in Bitcoin.

The winner of the treasure hunt will receive 10 troy ounces of 99.99% pure gold, valued at over €20,000, plus an increasing cash prize, depending on the number of entries.
