The Barbie vs. Oppenheimer feud over Help #1 ended on the opening date, and there was a clear winner!

New productions by Christopher Nolan and Greta Gerwig are already available in theaters for the release date numbers, and one has stood out a bit compared to the other.

Despite being two hugely successful productions that aroused excitement and anxiety in spectators, from the moment both were announced to premiere on the same day, the suspicion arose among film fans around the world: which one would go?

Considering, of course, that it will be possible to watch both, for the vast majority of spectators, only one should be chosen to go to the cinema for the premiere on July 21 – in Portugal, on the 20th.

With the results of the box office opening date already known winner of the phenomenon Barpenheimer It was clear: Barbie generated more than twice as much revenue as Oppenheimer, just considering the premiere.

The Greta Gerwig comedy stars the hugely popular Mattel doll, Barbie (played by Margot Robbie), who decides to explore the real world and is joined by her boyfriend Ken (played by Ryan Gosling).

The historical biopic of Christopher Nolan stars the inventor of the atomic bomb in the 1940s, J. Robert Oppenheimer (played by Cillian Murphy).

The US box office projected that Barbie’s revenue would be $22.5 million, twice the expected value of Oppenheimer’s, which would be $10.5 million. It also means that the blockbuster movie of the year has the highest projected revenue of any release this summer, surpassing the record set by Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 3 so far, which is 17.5 million.
