The science behind poultry farming – the rural giveaway

This week the Santa Catarina Poultry Association (ACAF) announced the scientific program of the 13th Symposium on Incubation, Cutting Matrices and Feeding scheduled for October 4-6 this year, in Florianópolis (SC). The site will be the event center for the Oceania Park Hotel, in Ingleses, north of Santa Catarina Island.

Registration is open and can be done through the website. www.simposioacav.com.br. The 2022 edition will be a hybrid, i.e. in person and also with online transmission.

For in-person participation, the registration fee for professionals is R$400 until August 31, BRL450 until September 30th and BRL500 until October 6. To participate online, the value is R$250 for professionals and students through October 6.

General Coordinator Bento Zanioni explained that the symposium will bring together eminent specialists to deal with the latest relevant topics of one of the largest and most advanced production chains in the world – the Brazilian industrial poultry. The symposium is a national reference in technological modernization and sectoral integration. “It is an important moment for agribusiness in Santa Catarina and Brazil, because it brings up the topics of discussion relevant to the poultry industry and, at the same time, showcases the innovations that have emerged in Brazil and the world. All this with a main objective, which is the continuous search for improvement and the quality level of the sector’s production chain “, Zanoni stands out.

Acav’s president, Ricardo Castelar de Faria, emphasizes that the goal is to put poultry farming in the leadership role it deserves. “The symposium initiative is part of the journey in search of efficiency, biosecurity and building increasingly robust production chains. The mind is also the challenge. Santa Catarina is free from the most dangerous diseases that afflict other countries today,” he noted, adding that the sector faces continuous challenges, but remains one It provides jobs, boosts the economy and enhances food security for the population.”
