Russian President Vladimir Putin will sooner or later be killed by his own people.
This is what Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky claims In the new Ukrainian documentary “General”Produced and directed by the famous Ukrainian journalist Dmytro Komarov.
– There will certainly come a moment when the fragility of the Putin regime will be revealed within the state. Then the predators eat the predators. Then an important moment comes. They will need a reason, and then they will want to remember the words of Komarov, Zelensky and others. They will remember, and they will find a reason to kill a murderer, Zelensky says.
– I don’t know
Komarov’s documentary was released on Saturday, one day after the anniversary of Putin’s massive invasion of Ukraine. At the time of writing, it has nearly two million views.
In addition to interviews with Zelensky and other high-ranking figures in Ukraine’s political and military leadership, the documentary takes viewers to different parts of Ukraine.
– According to the war
Komarov was among the first journalists to document Russian abuses against the civilian population in the Kiev suburbs of Bucha, Irpin, and Hostomel. He was also one of the first to enter the liberated areas of the Kharkiv province and the city of Kherson.
Zelensky’s wild prediction of Putin is the first part of a longer argument about why the president thinks it’s important to constantly remind the outside world of what Russia is doing in Ukraine.
– Will you work? Yes. when? He says: I don’t know that.
Uncertainty about penalties
There are currently few indications that the so-called palace coup is likely to take place in Russia in the near future.
Although there is great uncertainty surrounding even independent opinion polls conducted in Russia, all available data indicate that Putin remains a very popular man among the Russian people.
Western sanctions against Russia are partly aimed at creating dissatisfaction with the Russian regime, including banning the export of so-called luxury goods to Russia.
It can take over these matters after Putin
Meanwhile, Morten Strand, a commentator for Dagbladet, believes that something else will affect Putin’s support from Russian citizens, before they get tired of sanctions.
“I think all the proceeds in the coffins will be an even bigger burden,” said Strand, the former Russia correspondent, during Dagbladet TV’s annual recap of the war earlier this week.
Penalties Can A job, said Strand, if Putin’s inner circle gets enough.
– The second thing that can happen is that enough people in the circle realize that something must be done and a coup is carried out, he said.
