The Portuguese team is already in Lisbon. The 18 players traveled on a plane chartered by the Portuguese Football Federation and arrived in the capital shortly before 7 p.m. Dozens of fans were waiting for the Portuguese players.

The Portuguese delegation left through the VIP door about ten minutes later. Joao Felix led the group, then boarded a bus that then headed to Soccer City. None of the delegation members spoke to reporters.

He was followed by Francisco Conceicao, José Sá, Gonzalo Inácio, Gonzalo Ramos, Rui Patricio, Ruben Dias and Bernardo Silva. There were eight athletes who went straight on holiday. Cristiano Ronaldo, Ruben Neves, Vitinha, Diogo Jota, Matheus Nunes, Diogo Dalot, Bruno Fernandes and João Palhinha went straight on holiday, taking flights to other places.
