In a day filled with lectures, workshops and presentations, the opening of the 4th edition of the Manaus Digital Polo Fair, which took place on Thursday (3), provided relevant discussions about the city’s place in the technological world. Among the lectures, the day was marked by the presentation of the Minister of Science and Technology Paolo Alvim. The event continues on Friday and Saturday (4th and 5th).
The minister was a member of the panel “5G: A New Model That Accelerates Changes in a Post-Pandemic Society”, which also included the participation of Vitor Cesar Lopez, General Coordinator of Development at Soframa. Rader de Oliveira Jr., Semtepi’s Secretary; Ricardo Itonaga, Regional Director, Anatel; Eduardo Lopez, Amazon Network Manager, and Walfran Falcao, Sidia New Business Coordinator.
The discussions were mediated by angel investor and Poli Angels mentor, Fernando Gomez de Oliveira Nias.

The Minister of Science and Technology concluded his speech by showing the importance of the city of Manaus as a technological center for the country, with great production potential in the arrival of 5G technologies.
“Manaus has a strategic role in ICT (information and communication technology. Here,” ICT products are “produced,” there is a complete local strategy flowing into the country when it comes to digital technology. When we succeed in integrating this new demand in the field of 5G technologies You have a lot to do,” the minister added.

It also saw the first day of the fourth edition of the digital polo exhibition “Espaço Sebrae”, with lectures and workshops that included finance, entrepreneurship, metaverse and personal marketing in business.
Other spaces such as Tech, Inovação, Startups, Arena Dev, and Arena Maker included courses in design thinking, 3D modeling and printing workshops, and tips for presentations, as well as lectures on innovation, bioeconomics, and the future of business.
