The range features a new 2.0-liter diesel engine with 265 hp

It is the new OM 654 M diesel engine, which will power 300 d 4MATIC, and is the main novelty in the renewal of the CLS range.
With a displacement of 1,993 cm3, two variable geometry turbochargers, it houses a second-generation integrated starter generator, and a 48-volt electrical system.
Power is 265 hp and 550 Nm, plus another 20 hp and 200 Nm of electric boosters. Electrification also allows the use of an electric refrigeration compressor for the air conditioning system.
In the remaining gasoline and diesel engines there are no mechanical changes.
