The founder of Commedia à La Carte reveals that he has cancer
The disease has already killed Ricardo Pérez's sister and father. His mother was also diagnosed. The actor has set up a GoFundMe page.
Ricardo Pérez, founder of Commedia à La Carte with César Mourão and Carlos Cunha, is currently fighting lung and bone cancer. The disease was diagnosed about a month ago.
Tania Lopez, the friend who revealed the news publicly on Tuesday, March 26, is trying to raise €10,000 via GoFundMe to help the comedian. “Ricardo Pérez has been a friend of ours for a long time, and at this moment life has played a trick on him,” he began writing on social media.
He adds: “A month ago, after we finished the show, he went to the hospital and was diagnosed with lung and bone cancer, the same disease from which his father and sister died and from which his mother is currently suffering.”
In the same publication, it is said that both Ricardo and his mother are experiencing major financial difficulties. The actor – who in recent years has devoted himself to theatrical productions in central Portugal – does not have “the money to be able to support daily life.”
“In this whirlwind of life, I came to take care of my mother with cancer and I myself was working and hiding pneumonia because I couldn't stop working and I ended up getting cancer in my bones and lungs. If you can help me, it will be a gift and I will do everything I can to return the favor.” Yours. “Life takes many turns and I love life and the turns it takes,” the comedian wrote on the GoFundMe page.
So far, about 2,800 euros have been raised. The goal is to reach 10 thousand euros. Donations can be made Connected.
