Le Parisien newspaper wrote on Tuesday that police had arrested seven men who were preparing to rob the home of Julian Draxler, the former Benfica player who currently plays for Paris Saint-Germain. According to that newspaper, it all happened this morning, just after midnight. And elements close to the German player had warned the police that a Volkswagen Golf would be around the house. Customers were already approaching the occupants to check the car when a Renault Clio, with five passengers, pulled up nearby. a result? Seven men were arrested to give their statements and seized gloves, masks and other items that were to be used in the robbery and were inside the two cars. ‘Le Parisien’ adds that the situation was brought under control in time as Draxler’s house, located in Saint-Cloud (in the Hauts-de-Seine, Paris) showed no sign of a break-in.
