Rogers is considered one of the leading architects behind the so-called “School of High Technology”, along with Britain’s Norman Foster and Italy’s Renzo Piano. They are best known for their extensive use of materials such as steel and glass.

Together with a piano, Rogers designed the Center Pompidou in Paris.

It was built with distinctive colored piping, external valves, elevators, and steel structures and was completed in 1977.

The building initially aroused considerable opposition from the citizens of Paris, who believed that it broke too much with the rest of the cityscape.

Today, the museum, which houses one of the largest collections of modern art in Europe, has become an architectural icon and one of Paris’ greatest attractions, receiving more than 3 million visitors annually.

Roger was also behind many of London’s most recognizable buildings such as the Millennium Dome, the Leadenhall skyscraper, also known as “The Rivernet”, as well as the headquarters of insurance company Lloyd’s in London with its three distinctive towers.

He also designed the headquarters of the European Court of Human Rights in Strasbourg and one of two skyscrapers being built to replace the destroyed Twin Towers in New York.

In addition, Rogers designed the terminal buildings for both Madrid International Airport and Terminal 5 at Heathrow.

Along with the aforementioned Norman Foster, Rogers is considered one of the major architects of his generation. They influenced the modern design of cities such as London, Paris, New York and Hong Kong and changed the silhouettes of cities.

Rogers has received a number of awards for his work, including the prestigious Pritzker Prize in 2007.

But he was not favored by fellow countryman Prince Charles, who has criticized Roger’s engineering on several occasions.

The Lloyd’s Building is one of Roger’s most famous buildings. Like the Pompidou Center, it has a number of technical features located on the outside, as part of the facade.
