The competitor will have surpassed the autonomy of Tesla cars

NS Lucid Motors, the first emerging car dedicated to developing electric cars, has gone beyond the autonomy offered by Tesla cars. Who says this is Motortrend website, who underwent an autonomy test while traveling between Los Angeles and San Francisco in California, USA.

Testing was conducted on two Lucid Air Dream Edition cars by MotorTrend and Company CEO Peter Rawlinson. Lucid Air from Motortrend managed to cover 716 kilometers between the two cities on a single charge, and reached the destination with 48 kilometers of autonomy.

The Rawlinson will arrive in San Francisco with a battery life of 115 kilometers.

Note that the tests were conducted with a Range version of the Lucid Air, a vehicle that still has 933 horsepower. Battery autonomy for electric cars is still an issue for many interested in acquiring this type of vehicle, as here Lucid has a strong argument to consider going forward.

Lucid Air will start shipping at the end of 2021.
