A young central defender who found space in the most defensive sectors of Sao Paulo in the face of injuries to the usual beginners, Lucas Peraldo distinguished himself in the Brazilian national team and, according to the iG Esporte portal, his performances have already attracted attention. One of the European clubs, which is Benfica. According to the previous publication, in addition to the Eagles, the 19-year-old defender is also pursued by Udinese and Watford – two clubs that, oddly enough, are owned by the Pozzo family.

According to the same site, Peraldo has recently started the process of issuing an Italian passport, which will facilitate his mission to head to the Old Continent, because in this way he will not occupy a place outside the European Union on European soil. It should be noted that this situation will only make it easier to move to Udinese, because the criteria for England are different.

With eight matches played this season – twice as many as in 2022 – Peraldo has a contract with Sao Paulo until June 2026.
