The brand sells out the launch edition in Europe within 24 hours

Very good news for Hyundai: all Ioniq 6 First Edition models in Europe were sold out by the South Korean brand in less than a day. Pre-sales of the launch version of the model began on the 9th in Germany, France, the United Kingdom, Norway and the Netherlands and found 2,500 units available for purchase.

Customers will now get their new car between March and April 2023 – and for the rest, those who didn’t arrive in time for the first edition will get an offer from the dealer at a later date. “This extraordinary interest and demand for the Ioniq 6 First Edition reinforces Hyundai’s leadership in zero-emission mobility,” said Ulrich Michau, Vice President, Sales and Service, Hyundai Motor Europe. The official launch of the Hyundai Ioniq 6 should take place before the end of this year, in the European market.

Hyundai Ioniq 6 is the new flagship electric vehicle of the South Korean brand. Introduced in 2021, the Ioniq 6 impresses with its autonomy, guaranteed by a 77.4 kWh battery that offers 519 km on the WLTP cycle. For shorter charge times, Hyundai has integrated a heating system into the battery that adapts its temperature to optimize charging. The aerodynamic design has been studied in depth to ensure greater autonomy.
