The ball – Sporting beats Tottenham and is already eighth (see goals) (Youth League)

Sporting beat Tottenham 2-1, at Enfield (London), in a match in the penultimate round of Group D of the UEFA Youth League. A result worthy of qualifying for the round of 16 of the competition, the first place in the group remains to be discussed.

After a fatal blunder that allowed Lancashire to put Tottenham ahead in the first minute of the match, Sporting responded and it was in the 19th minute when Marco Cruz, after a shot on the edge of the area, set up a tie that lasted until halftime.

In a second with few chances, Marco Cruz completed the return of the Lions with a new shot.

With this victory, Sporting remained at the top of the group, now with 11 points, like Eintracht Frankfurt, who emerged victorious from the duel with Marseille (2-0).

In the final round, scheduled for November 1, the Lions welcome the Germans to a match that determines who will pass to the next stage as the group leader.
