The Ball – “It’s no coincidence that Cristiano has so much respect for Alex Ferguson!” (Manchester United)

Jose Morris, while assisting Jose Mourinho, worked three seasons with Cristiano Ronaldo at Real Madrid. In an interview with A BOLA, he now spoke about the player’s controversial interview, in which he severely criticized the man. United and coach Eric ten Hag.

– How do you see this whole situation?

Being a personal trainer means knowing how to handle situations like this that happen. Positive communication. Establishing a trust depends on factors that relate to an individual’s personal development. The best coach is better able to handle these situations. Usually, the player is younger than the coach, is at a different level of personal development, and the coach’s competence is very important here in resolving potential conflicts.

Sir Alex Ferguson remains a powerful and symbolic presence in the club world…

– Well, what is expected of a Manchester United coach, take as an example what Alex Ferguson still stands for today. It is no coincidence that Cristiano is admired and respected as Ferguson is known.

How was working with Cristiano Ronaldo?

– Working with Chris was one of the best moments I can remember as a coach. He’s an amazing person and a stratospheric player. I don’t say “UFO” because it’s human. It would be more than “a human being with undetermined characteristics”. This is the enormity of his ability and talent. To have a player like him is to be a blessed coach. Chris is without a doubt a sensitive and available person.

– but very controversial at this point in his career…

– I don’t want to say much, but, probably, sai, no sai … It will already have something to do with what is happening in the meantime. I’m just saying you have to be a special coach to train special players…
