On January 16, the former Greek king, King Constantine, was buried.

The funeral was in Athens, where royals from across Europe made a final farewell trip. Including the Norwegian crown couple and Princess Martha Louise (51).

The funeral was attended by Queen Margrethe of Denmark (82), Princess Benedict (78), brothers Prince Joachim (53) and Crown Prince Frederick (54).

The Danish royal family is related to the late Greek king. He was married to Queen Anne Marie (76), who is Queen Margaret and Princess Benedict’s little sister.

Queen Anne described Marie as a guest at her husband’s funeral of 58 years. She was clearly affected.

The Prince and Princess Mary have stated that they are in shock at the decision, and confirmed that they do not get along with the Queen.

The Crown Prince, for their part, supported the Queen’s decision.
