Journalists Teresa Seraphim, from PÚBLICO, and Rita Colaco, from Antena 1, won the The National Award for Innovation in Social Communication 2022, promoted by the National Agency for Innovation (Ani).
Teresa Seraphim featured the report “Inside the Science of a Lisbon Space Mission”, which followed the work of scientists from the laboratories of the University’s Faculty of Science, in preparation for the European Space Agency (ESA) Hera mission. ). The National Prize for Innovation in Social Communication aims to recognize journalistic quality, highlighting the best works in the field of scientific and technological innovation developed in Portugal, or in partnership with national entities. The mission is to bring the media closer to the scientific and technological community and to appreciate the importance of disseminating the innovation that is happening in Portugal.

Journalists Fatima Kasador, from location Technology news outlet Sapo Tek and SIC’s Lourenço Medeiros, respectively, took home the 2021 and 2022 Professional Awards.
The award ceremony took place this Friday, April 21, the date on which World Creativity and Innovation Day is celebrated, in Vila Nova de Gaia. The event included a lecture given by the international correspondent of the economist, Robert Lynn Green.
