Austria Vienna announced the contract with Tristan Hammond from Sporting, in exchange for an amount that the clubs agreed not to disclose, according to a statement by the Austrian club. And so the 18-year-old striker left the club after six seasons at Alcochet, arriving at the age of 11 from Belenenses, having represented all levels even under 21.
Tristan Hammond was born in Australia in 2003 in Westmead (a suburb of Sydney), moved with his parents at a very young age to Portugal, then began playing for Bellinenses, the club he left after a year with Sporting. He was the young Australian international striker at the FIFA U-17 World Cup in Brazil in 2019.
“I’m really happy to be here and can’t wait to meet everyone. I want to have a new experience here, it’s a new beginning for me and I’m very excited. Austria is a beautiful country and I have a lot to do with football here and Austria in Vienna. The stadium is great and it’s very purple. I am very happy that I am able to play here.”
Welcome to Vienna, Tristan! 🔥💜
