The Portuguese-English graduate of the Lions does not play for Tottenham
Sporting is interested in the return of Eric Dier. The news from journalist Tom Allnutt, who writes for SpursExpress and The Sunday Times, indicates interest in the Briton, who trained at Alcochete, and with him being in the first team in 2012/13 (15 matches) and 2013/14 (16 matches).
The 29-year-old, a versatile player, is unlikely to renew with Tottenham. He hasn’t played any minutes in that time, and could be a free agent in June.
The possibility of obtaining a loan was written in January. Sporting are looking for players in defence: Coates’ contract is expiring, although he must renew it, and Gonzalo Inacio is desirable.
