It was Putin’s spokesman Dmitry Peskov who told the news agency this palm.

Putin has a number of residences, and it is common to see the president’s entourage and guards driving in and out of central Moscow day in and day out.

But Putin now lives more or less permanently inside the Kremlin, the historic citadel in the heart of Moscow, where the president’s office is located.

The background to the question was that Putin, in an interview with Rossiya-24 TV channel on Saturday, said he brought Chinese President Xi Jinping to the apartment for informal talks last week.

– We had a business lunch, then I invited the boss, as a friend, to take us to another room, I have an apartment here in the Kremlin in which I have been spending a lot of time lately, I work here and spend the night a lot. So we moved there, Putin said, and while we sat by the fireplace and drank tea, we talked quietly about everything.

Communist leader Gennadij Zjuganov recently revealed Putin frequently called him in the middle of the night to discuss matters.

He has a busy schedule and should be treated with respect. Zguganov said he always calls, sometimes after midnight. Communists are among Putin’s supporters in Russian politics.
