The Ministry of Health (Sesa), issued this Thursday (22), the epidemiological bulletin for dengue fever, Zika virus and chikungunya, in reference to the twenty-eighth epidemiological week this year.
Between epidemic week (SE) 01 (01/03/2021 to 01/09/2021) and epidemic week (SE) 28 (07/11/2021 to 07/17/2021), 9,972 cases of dengue were recorded, 655 cases of Zika virus and 2,325 cases of chikungunya.

To prevent the spread of the mosquitoes that transmit these diseases, Aedes aegypti, it is necessary to take simple measures by the population on a daily basis, such as: keeping gutters in homes always clean; sealed water tanks; Clean the edges of water and animal food containers; Place bottles upside down and dispose of trash, debris, and tires in appropriate places, as well as keep yards well submerged, and remove containers that can accumulate water, such as bottle caps, papers, and plastic bags
