Police found seven bodies on an estate near the small town of Henrietta, just south of Tulsa, in the US state of Oklahoma.
The bodies were found on the property of Jesse McFadden (39). He is supposed to be one of the seven dead and a registered sex offender and rapist.
Janet May, 59, says her daughter and three grandchildren are also among the dead, writes AP.
According to the woman, she was notified by the sheriff’s office that four of the victims were her daughter Holly Jess (35) and her grandchildren Riley Elizabeth Allen (17), Michael James Mayo (15) and Tiffany Dorr Jess (13). It is said that Holly was married to McFadden.
Janet May describes Macfadyen as a modest, unfriendly, and quiet person. She says his controlling behavior was troubling.
– I keep my daughter and children under lock and key, so to speak. He wanted to know their whereabouts at all times, and that was a danger signal, Mayo tells The Associated Press.
Only a few months ago, the family found out about his criminal past, according to the grandmother.
– He lied to my daughter, convincing her that all this was just a big mistake.
The sheriff’s office reportedly told her that her daughter and grandchildren were found shot dead at various points on the property. This information has not been confirmed.
The bodies were found in connection with the haunting of missing teenage girls Ivy Webster (14) and Brittany Brewer (16), who were said to have been visiting Jesse McFadden. They are said to be among two of the seven who died.
Brittany’s father, Nathan Brewer, told local media that he was in shock.
– Burn my heart. I am really devastated. Nathan says, I’m gone.
During Monday night’s party, Brewer told the crowd it was “a parent’s worst nightmare.”
None of the dead were autopsied, and the cause of death is unknown. It is not yet known what happened, but there is no threat to the local community. He writes a murder investigation has begun New York times.
Our thoughts go out to families, friends, classmates, and anyone else, says Okmulgee County Sheriff Eddie Rice, according to BBC.
McFadden was due to appear in court on Monday. The charges included child pornography and incitement to sexual conduct or communication with a minor using technology. He was wanted after he failed to appear in court.
Documents show that he was jailed in 2003 for rape. He served just under 16 years and was released in October 2020, according to reports The Independent.
