Scientific research colleagues are concerned about the end of the Ministry of Science
Education, higher education and science will once again be under the same umbrella within the structure of the twenty-fourth constitutional government.
Today, Saturday, the Association of Scientific Research Fellows (ABIC) expressed its concern about the merger of the Ministry of Science, Technology and Higher Education with the Ministry of Education, considering this a “political indication of the devaluation” of these fields.
“With great apprehension and concern, the Society of Scientific Research Fellows views the recent announcement of the formation of the new government, especially the merger of the Ministry of Science, Technology and Higher Education with the Ministry of Education. In addition to the complexity of the issues covered by the two ministries, and the political sign of the devaluation of these areas by combining them “Together under one umbrella is indisputable.”
Education, higher education and science will once again be under the same supervision in the structure of the 24th Constitutional Government, and the new Ministry of Education, Science and Innovation will be headed by economist Fernando Alexandre.
