Cristina Ferreira, 45, went for a weekend in the Algarve, but didn’t stay away from the important stuff at TVI.
The broadcaster announced on her social networks, through a video clip featuring characters from the series “Festa é Festa”, that the next Big Brother prize will be the real jackpot.
This is how TVI’s Director of Entertainment and Fiction revealed that the reality show will receive a final prize of 100,000 euros. A value equal to the maximum ever offered in Portugal, curiously in the same format. In the first program, in 2000, this was the amount that Zé Maria won, an amount that was repeated until the fourth edition. Then the check shrinks and just to make a comparison, BB 2020, which marks the return of reality to TVI, has a prize of 50,000 euros (won by Sría Moreira). And the last, from 2022, only 37 thousand and 645 euros entered the pockets of competitor Ana Barbosa.
It remains to be seen if this entire amount will be handed over to the winner or if, as happened in “O Triângulo”, there may be other games and irregularities that reduce the final amount.
“Big Brother” is scheduled to premiere in September and festivals are scheduled for Sunday, as it may clash with the SIC reality show, “Paraíso”, recorded in the Philippines by Claudia Vieira, also scheduled to premiere at that time. That is if the audience champion “Salve-se Quem Puder”, with Marco Horácio and Diana Chaves, ends in the meantime or is brought forward to Saturday.
