CHUSJ Clinical Director Maria Joao Baptista explains that the new center will make it possible to replicate the existing “95 active clinical trials” with “excellent health gains for patients, but also for the institution and for the country”.
According to the SNS portal, clinical trials are a way to “transform the result of the most advanced biomedical laboratory research into a clinical reality, which allows testing new methods for the treatment or prevention of diseases, both recurrent and rare.”
