Well, the Samsung Galaxy S22+ is the target of more rumors after it was spotted in the Geekbench listings revealing some of its specifications. This time around, the model appears to be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 898 processor.
More specifically, the Galaxy S22+ appears in Geekbench 5 with the next Qualcomm processor with four CPU cores running at 1.79GHz, with three cores running at 2.5GHz and also with one core running at 3GHz.
The same listing reveals that the Galaxy S22+ is also equipped with 8GB of RAM and runs Android 12. In the Geekbench test, the model achieved a score of 1163 in single-core mode and 2728 in multi-core mode.
But to mix all the info, the Galaxy S22+ has also been put on Geekbench with Exynos 2200 processor that Samsung is planning to release soon and with the same specs of 8GB RAM and Android 12 OS.
Samsung S22+ will have two versions, one on the Snapdragon platform and one with Exynos 2200
Thus, it seems that Samsung will keep the tradition of releasing its smartphone in two different versions, one with its Qualcomm processor and the other with its own Exynos processor.
As reported by leaker Max Weinbach, the Galaxy S22 series, which includes the S22, S22 + and S22 Ultra models, will be launched with the Snapdragon 898 platform in the US, Asia and Africa. In South Korea and other international markets, Samsung’s flagship phone will be equipped with the brand’s Exynos 2200 processor.
Another advanced piece of information is that the S22 series, in Asia and Africa, may be available with several versions of each of the models that make up the line. All because devices with different model numbers are detected for each device (S22, S22+ and S22 Ultra). In other words, these markets may receive several versions with different specifications.
Remember that Samsung is planning to launch its next flagship phone early next year, specifically in February 2022.
