Samsung brings Relumino mode to the Galaxy S24 and highlights the accessibility functions

Published on

a Samsung I announced some news to mark World Accessibility Awareness Day. With this in mind, the company is implementing some features aimed at this audience on Galaxy S24 devices. Among them is the so-called Relumino mode.

For those who don't know, this mode is typically found on South Korean TVs and is intended to improve the visibility of text and image content for those with poor eyesight. In other words, the feature improves the brightness and contrast of what's being displayed to help you better distinguish what's being displayed on your devices.

Other accessibility features

You probably already know about Talkback, which is basically a voice assistant that helps the user navigate the cell phone system. In addition to this function, which provides audio descriptions of the options available on the smartphone, Samsung has also confirmed that it is possible to activate other accessibility features.

These other features include Live Captions, Global Gestures, and Ambient Sound. The first deals with generating textual descriptions of the media content playing on the device, all in real time. The second, in turn, is a set of marks that are made with the hands to enable certain features.
