Russian journalist murdered in Ukraine

Russian video journalist Oksana Paulina, commissioned by the independent Russian news website The Insider, was killed during a Russian grenade attack in Kyiv.

She was in a shopping center in the Podolsky district filming the devastation caused by the Russian attacks when she was killed.

Another civilian was killed and two others were wounded in the same attack.

– We will continue to cover the war in Ukraine, including Russian war crimes, as the arbitrary protection of residential areas where civilians and journalists are killed, the Russian website writes.

The Russian journalist previously worked for many lifestyle magazines, such as Time Out Moscow and In Style Watchman.

Since then, she has been working on the political front, starting as a producer at the Anti-Corruption Fund. The organization was founded in Moscow in 2011 by the now imprisoned Russian opposition politician Alexei Navalny.

Paulina was arrested, among other things, when the Russian police stormed the headquarters of the Anti-Corruption Fund in Moscow.

She was later forced to leave the country, when the Russian authorities classified the organization as extremist.
