The meeting took place in the Kremlin on June 29. Here, Wagner’s boss said the group was backing Putin and soldiers — and would continue to fight for him, according to the Kremlin.

Yevgeny Prigozhin and his mercenaries took control of a million cities in southern Russia and marched on Moscow on June 24.

Prigozhin called off the uprising that evening after promising to pardon himself and his men.

There were previously unconfirmed rumors that Putin and Prigozhin had met, but they have only been confirmed now, more than two weeks after the uprising in Russia and a week and a half after the meeting itself.

Meanwhile, there were several reports that Prigozhin was in St. Petersburg and collecting weapons.
