RTX 50: The biggest evolution ever in graphics cards

RTX 50: The biggest evolution ever in graphics cards

We are currently welcoming a whole new generation of graphics cards, in the form of the GeForce RTX 40 and, of course, the recently launched Radeon RX 7000. However, since the tech world can’t afford to miss anything, here’s what we’re actually learning some interesting things about what’s coming next.

Is that in case you didn’t know, the Ada Lovelace architecture, which gives life to the current NVIDIA GeForce RTX 40 card, must be just a “passthrough” architecture. It was never the idea to be so competitive, which is exactly why its consumption, in the top models, is a little intimidating. (NVIDIA was forced to push the architecture to the limit when it began to realize that rival AMD was going to have a winning product on its hands.) That is, the important news will appear next, in the Blackwell architecture, which is actually based on the MCM design.

Therefore, AMD has already bet on the design of MCM with its own RDNA3 architecture, however, for some reason, NVIDIA decided to bet on the “thing”, just in the next generation. For some reason… well… apparently, the result of this latest gamble is indeed a great product. After all, the latest rumors point to NVIDIA’s RTX 50 being the biggest generational performance jump ever.

RTX 50: Of course, these graphics cards didn’t hit the market until 2024, but for now, they could start to wreak some water in an enthusiast’s good mood.

Well, the new RTX 50 ‘Blackwell’ will feature a redesigned SM design, a more advanced RayTracing accelerator, and the ability to significantly increase the number of processing cores, while benefiting from the increased performance and efficiency of TSMC’s 3nm process.

It’s still too early to say what kind of jump this will be, but… it’s going to be something!
