Roman Reigns has been the reigning World Champion in WWE since Payback on August 31, 2020, nearly completing 1,000 days of reign.
The Chieftain will reach this milestone as the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion at Night of Champions on May 27 in Saudi Arabia.
However, WWE may be planning to take the Bloodline leader even further, to have him break an all-time company record.
Andrew Zarian of the Wrestling Observer responded to A.J tweet by Jim Valley, where he indicated that Roman Reigns could defeat Hulk Hogan’s record of 1,474 days as WWE Champion.
The fan and journalist point to the fact that WWE has introduced a new World Heavyweight Championship as a clear sign that Roman Reigns’ reign could last much longer.
Thus, the introduction of a new world title could facilitate the fact that the “tribal chief” continues with two world titles in his possession.
Additionally, WWE has been wanting to update its history for some time, with more recent long reigns.
In addition to Roman Reigns, there are also The Usos as SmackDown Tag Team Champions, Gunther as the WWE Intercontinental Champion and Bianca Belair as the Raw Women’s Champion.
The introduction of the new WWE World Heavyweight Title tells me that Roman Reigns will be champion for much longer than 1,000 days. I think Roman might be ready to move beyond Hulk Hogan’s first reign. Explain why. check it out. https://t.co/JikpGqsKQ2

I’ll touch on this today on WOL.
I’ve been told many times that WWE wants to update their history books and needs longer titles for the titles.
Pun intended. https://t.co/CHIijLgLeF

Do you think Roman Reigns will remain world champion for another year and a half?
